the “I’ve reached 300 fans on Facebook” e-book giveaway!

Back when the Just Friends With Benefits Facebook page had under 250 fans, I made a promise to give away an e-copy of the book when I reached 300 fans. Many months later, I have finally reached my goal and it is time to make good on my promise. But I am going to do it one better – I am going to give away not one, but TWO e-copies of Just Friends With Benefits. To win your copy, I need you to leave a comment below with 1) your email address and 2) a line from your favorite television show theme song, for example, “What might be right for you, might not be right for some” – Different Strokes!

It’s that easy. Oh, and if you could either follow me on Twitter and/or like the Just Friends With Benefits page on Facebook, that would be super.

Unfortunately, this contest is limited to entrants in the United States.

Good luck! And, if you do not win this contest, I am happy to report that I am participating in the Chick Lit Author Blog Hop next week and will be giving away another e-book then.

Please tell your friends!!

Well, few TV shows had theme songs with words that I liked. But I’ll give you TWO:
“You may be right … I may be crazy. But maybe it’s a lunatic you’re looking for.” That was from the show called “Dave” with the guy who used to be on Night Court.
    My other one:
“Oh the way Glenn Miller played … songs that made the Hit Parade. Guys like me we had it made … those were the days.” Archie Bunker and Edith sang it to open “All in the Family.”

You take the good. You take the bad. You take them both, and there you have the facts of life.

This one is really obscure, from the old show Small Wonder:

“She’s fantastic, made of plastic, microchips here and there. She’s a small wonder, brings love and laughter everywhere.” 🙂

What if my favorite show is just them singing “ba da ba ba ba, ba ba ba ba…” 🙂 The other ones are just instrumental too, for the most part (“Desperate Housewives,” “Smash,” “90210.”)
And since someone did “Friends” already, I’ll go with this other show I’m enjoying a lot these days: “Our whole universe is in a hot, dense state…” 🙂

So few TV shows nowadays have theme songs, much less lyrics…but one I really enjoy is “…it all started with a big bang!” — from THE BIG BANG THEORY, of course ;-D

(Oh I see Melissa A also picked that song — but the opening line, and I picked the closing line. It’s fun to sing along to)

I’m betraying my age (51st birthday today!), but absolute favorite:

“And when we both get older
With walking canes and hair of gray
Have no fear, even though it’s hard to hear
I will stand real close and say,
Thank you for being a friend”

Oh! I just love TV theme songs! I like the line “who can take a nothing day and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile” from the Mary Tyler More show.
